REPORT ON THE CLUB’S BREAKFAST RIDE TO THE THIRTY ATE EATERY, GRAND DADDY HOTEL, CAPE TOWN ON 6 NOVEMBER 2016 – BY JEAN POTGIETER

With not so good weather looming, Krog called everyone together and explained the route for the morning. At 08h10 he led the group down the N1, onto M5, N1, R304 Klipheuwel/Stellenbosch offramp. Left towards Malmesbury. At 4-way stop left onto R312 past Fizantekraal to T-junction. Left onto R302 through Durbanville and right into Main Street. Left at circle onto M48. Right at the next circle towards Melkbos. We spent about 10 seconds at the stop/go and then left again towards Contermanskloof. Right onto Potsdam road and left onto N7 towards Goodwood. Then N1 to Cape Town. Left in Strand Street, right into Long Street and our venue the Thirty Ate Eatery at Grand Daddy Hotel, cnr Long and Castle Streets. A total of 92,5 km and nobody got lost.

Quite a few members were already at the venue when the main group arrived.

There was 35 people on the ride, 34 members and 1 visitor on 19 bikes and 4 cars. BMW x 8 Yamaha x 4 Kawa x 3 Honda, Suzuki, Triumph, Aprillia x 1 each.

That’s it, short and sweet.

Cheers
Jean
