Everyone was chatting away when we arrived at Damelin, Krog gave directions for the ride and off we went, when suddenly a space cadet (druggie) came running between the bikes, narrowly missing Glen, I think Gerhardt was busy sorting him out as we pulled off towards the freeway. Those damn lights at the bridge…….
Caught the bunch going up Plattekloof, flew past to try and get a group shot. The selfies Tracey took of us, was her asking if the camera was recording LOL. After turning off the freeway the bunch had been split into two, tried to catch up so we did not lose Krog but at the the same time near the turn off on the R44 we caught another bunch who turned off, thought it was Krog, thus followed the wrong group on the right road……
Waited up for Kevin and then followed him into Melkbosstrand.
Had the big breakfast which was different to the set breakfast, was huge and delicious. Think the staff were a bit overwhelmed by the numbers and got a few things wrong near the end, but overall it was a pleasant morning with nice people and a lovely view of the ocean.
Congrats to Mark Pringle for getting on his bike after three years and hope he goes from strength to strength.
Wishing Luderick happy birthday for today and now that his back operation is behind him (excuse the pun) he will be up and about in no time.
Thanks Krog and Jean for going out of your way to make everyone’s breakfast ride feel special. At one stage I thought Jean was going to take over the kitchen….
